Maintaining the Kit
Providers of the kit will record the expiry dates of drugs supplied and notify purchasers when it is necessary to replace drugs before they reach their expiry date.

Optional additional drugs and equipment
In addition, a number of other drugs could be considered. Consideration of the drugs listed below will depend upon the individual dentists needs. Dental offices that provide conscious sedation, deep sedation and/or general anaesthesia require additional drugs and equipment.

Glucagon hypoglycemia in unconscious patient 1 mg i.m.
Atropine clinically significant bradycardia 0.6 mg i.v. or i.m.
Steroid (hydrocortisone) adrenal insufficiency 100 mg i.v. or i.m.
" recurrent anaphylaxis 100 mg i.v. or i.m.
Ephedrine clinically significant hypotension 5 mg i.v.prn or 10-25 mg i.m.
Analgesic
(nitrous oxide)
angina-like pain and unresponsive to nitroglycerin titrate up to 50%, inhalation
(or morhphine) angina-like pain and unresponsive to nitroglycerin titrate 2 mg prn i.v., 5 mg i.m.
Midazolam convulsions that are not self-limiting 5 mg i.m.
