A medical emergency kit should contain the essential drugs and armamentarium to deal with the types of emergencies a dental office may face.

It should be organized to have specific containers for each emergency. Since medical emergencies are rare and the knowledge to deal with them is not constantly refreshed by experience it is important that each container should have instructions for responding to the emergency including what drugs and dosages to administer.
